Former Tennessee prospect Tykee Ogle-Kellogg takes a shot at Butch Jones

Muschamp is now 6-0 in his career against Tennessee and 4-0 against Butch Jones. In those losses-against Florida, Georgia and now South Carolina-Tennessee has been shaky at quarterback and has averaged just 121.7 yards on the ground. He’s holding out hope to return before the end of the year. He had 17 carries for minus-2 net yards. But on the ensuing extra-point attemt, holder Danny Gordon mishandled a low snap.

SC (5-2, 3-2) scored on each of its last three drives. The pass fell incomplete, sealing a 15-9 victory for SC.

Tennessee moved the football well enough in the 1 half but all 3 times in the Red Zone settled for field goals to lead 9-3 at halftime.

An illness prevented Medley from playing against SC, so Cimaglia took over.

South Carolina: The defense was mostly responsible for this victory, but South Carolina’s offense also deserves credit for the way it regrouped after losing running back Rico Dowdle to an injury in the first quarter.

Tennessee: The Vols simply couldn’t run the ball after the first quarter.

The win was head coach Will Muschamp’s second in a row over the Volunteers, who fell apart in the second half on both sides of the football.

Per ESPN, Tennessee rushed for just 25 yards on 25 carries in the final three quarters Saturday, after racking up 100 yards on 14 carries in the first.
