Penn State slated for night game at Kinnick Stadium

Penn State is the defending Big Ten champion, while Iowa finished 8-5 a year ago.

The night game comes just one week after Penn State is set for another 7:30 p.m. game, against Georgia State this Saturday.

It was announced today that the first night game of the season for the Hawkeyes will be the game on September 23 between Iowa and the fifth-ranked Nittany Lions.

It’s the first time Penn State has played in Iowa City since 2012, which also was a night game. In fact, the last three times the Nittany Lions have played in Kinnick Stadium, the game ended under the lights.

PSU is 2-0 and ranked No. 5 in both major polls.

Every Penn State football game has been televised the past 12 seasons and 289 of the last 291 contests overall have been on TV.

In that game, Saquon Barkley finished with 211 all-purpose yards (167 rushing, 44 receiving), while Penn State totaled 599 yards of offense.
