Naturally, there’s a lot of fanfare behind its successor.
The rumour mill has been churning out some insight into what we might or might not see in terms of specs regarding the Mi Mix 2. The company has now released a video teaser which notes that Xiaomi will also announce another device at the Sept 11 launch event.
The affordable but remarkable Mi A1 proves Google itself is taking Xiaomi seriously as a valuable global partner, with the no doubt eye-catching Mi MIX 2 right around the corner and likely to launch in higher numbers than the original “full display concept”. Judging by the photographs, the Mi Note 3 will be essentially a bigger version of the Mi 6 flagship smartphone.
The Mi Note 3 will have a four-curved glass body and an aerospace grade aluminium frame. This is confirmed by Bin Lin on his microblog. Furthermore, the poster reveals that Mi Note 3 is being advertised by Chinese actor and singer, Wu Yifan. The smartphone will come with dual rear camera setup and a 4,070mAh non-removable battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology. It shows that the Mi Note 3 will come with a glossy back cover and in blue colour. The smartphone will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC and the phone is also expected to pack in at least 6GB of RAM.
The Mi MIX was announced in October a year ago along with the Mi Note 2, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if their successors arrive on the same day. The phablet is expected to come in multiple color options. It is expected to price upwards of 2,999 Yuan. We will be updating this page as and when more information becomes available on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, so keep checking back. The concept smartphone now has more curved than before. So, it possible we could see the duo with huge edge fewer displays.
